Our standard restoration package encompasses a complete disassembly, thorough cleaning, and the necessary rebuilding of the filling system (such as re-sacking). It also includes a light polish to clear away surface scratches, along with minor adjustments to the nib and ink flow.
Please note that the cost of replacement parts is not included in the service fee. If the required parts exceed $15, we will contact you for approval. Every pen is ink-tested to ensure quality before it is returned.
Repair Policies & Information
Your pen receives personal attention and is repaired by a single expert, me, Jose. I generally operate on a "first-come, first-served" basis. However, complex repairs—such as those involving plastic work or vacuum fillers—may require extra time. I believe in the philosophy that rushing a delicate job leads to poor results. While I appreciate your patience, please understand that turnaround times are estimates and depend heavily on the current workload and the specific needs of your pen.
A Note on Plastic Repair Restoring vintage plastic and celluloid is an art form rather than an exact science. Working with materials that can be nearly a century old presents unique challenges, as formulas and preservation conditions vary. I use solvent welding techniques that require significant curing time—sometimes weeks—to ensure the repair is solid and the material has stabilized. While some jobs are quick, others require an extended timeline to achieve a high-quality, durable result.
Shipping Information I primarily utilize DHL, FedEx or UPS for International shipping
